A Dominican-American writer, blogger, and entrepreneur. Led Black grew up in the Washington Heights, Manhattan. In addition to owning and running the Uptown Collective, he is currently working on Nutcracker Inc, the definitive documentary on the Nutcracker and the neighborhood that created it. This documentary comes out of a story he wrote on the Nutcracker in February 2010. The story was a brief history of the Nutcracker. It is to date, by far, the most popular story on the site. From there director Jon Ullman read the story and contacted Led Black because he thought it would be a good idea for a documentary. Thus far, they have already captured some amazing moments and people will be blown away by the documentary. It is a people’s history of Washington Heights that uses the Nutcracker as a device to tell that story.
